Two for the Show

Here is one of the reasons I don't have many blog entries for last year around this time. I was working on this show - spot op. I was the sound guy when it had a single performance two years ago in the new works festival.

This is actually an ad for this year in Chicago but it is all tapings from when we did it here.

It is still playing in Chicago - just moved theatres. Spike actually got to see it in both cities! And if anyone wants to donate some Alaska Air miles to me, I might be able to see it again, too ;)

This is my favorite photo that I took from our run. The tickets sales were doing so well, they added on another week of performances - right after Thanksgiving. We had almost an entire week off. So before the first performance, there was a pick-up rehearsal. No one in costume.

Some news from this week: they found the real life girlfriend! Read about it here.

I saw that about the girlfriend. What I find particularly interesting is that she said not all of the female voices on the recording are her. Hmmm, another mystery.

And I like the photo not in costume, that's pretty cool!

Yeah, I had the same thought about "who is the other female voice?" Could have been an employee of Sun Records, like a secretary or something.

And you can tell by my photo how cold an empty theatre in November can be.
