It's not a quote because I heard it repeated by someone else on NPR. She said that Nancy, Seattle's famous librarian, had this Reading Law:
Take your age.
Subtract it from 100.
You only need to read that many number of pages in a book. It it hasn't grabbed you by then, you can put it down and not finish.
So if you are my age, it needs to grab us before page 66. If you are Babi's age, it better have a great opening; it needs to grab you by page nine!
And why is Nancy famous? Perhaps you have seen the action figure based on her?

Maybe you have heard or even read Book Lust or for the kids, Book Crush. Locally (although all is accessable by the web) you can hear her book reviews on NPR and on the Seattle Channel.
