Levi

I just got back from seeing a friend's show. Levi is touring and had one night here in Seattle. A very talented singer/songwriter and a beautiful soul.

Levi and I know each other from a show we did a few years ago, One Red Flower (Letters from 'Nam). I wasn't sure if he would even remember me. It's been awhile since I've seen him and even awhile since we've exchanged e-mails. He remembered! ("Of course I do, baby doll!" he said in that wonderful small-town-Tennessee accent). In fact, he asked me if I had a MySpace. Apparently another Julie from Seattle contacted him through MySpace and he wrote her back thinking it was me!

Levi played keyboard and sang. It's funny, I always think of him as a guitar player but I think that comes from the fact that his character played guitar in the show. It was great and has the banter-between-shows down.

Before the show, Levi introduced me to Eric, who he is touring with. I chatted with him a bit. Really sweet kid. And then I got to hear him play guitar and sing - wow! He even did this great cover of "9 to 5."

So check out their websites to see if they are playing in your town soon. And Seattleites: they are coming back here for Pride!

This picture is from our closing night of One Red Flower. Would have been... Nov of '02 (yikes, that long?). From left to right: me, Levi, and David (another very talented man).
