Hitting the Trail

What to do on one of the hottest days of the year? Go hiking, of course! Three of us headed north to a little day hike near Skykomish - two hours northeast of Seattle.
Only a mile or two in we thought we had lost the trail. All there was were large fallen trees. This first picture is actually of the trail. We met hikers coming the other way and without us even asking, one of them said, "This doesn't seem like the trail, but I assure you it is."

We knew we were back on track when we saw this log with a railing.

The sign said toilet. And yep, there's the toilet. Just out in the open (away from the trail, though).

My hiking partners have a water fight during lunch.
