The Superbowl Storm

Just trying to figure out what this windstorm will be named. This morning I woke up at 8:30am to no power (my cell phone told me what time it was) - for those of you who know me well and are wondering what I was doing up that early, I rolled over and fell back to sleep. Didn't get power back until 11:30am. Not sure how long it was out for. I know I still had power when I went to bed at 3am.

After days and days of rain (more than 30 in a row), now we get a windstorm. Gusts of up to 50mph. We lost a young tree at the entrance of my apartment building. So far this is the only downed tree I've seen, but I've only gone as far as one block away today.

I'm going to a dinner party toight in Kirkland. But the 520 Floating Bridge is closed because of the storm. Luckily the I-90 bridge is still open.

Yeah! I had to set my cell phone alarm too as I wasn't sure I was going to have power. I did. But boy did the wind keep me up all night.
