PAWS for Dinner

Back when I had spare time, I volunteered at PAWS - an animal shelter. Now I'm on the sub list - covering for people who can't make it in that day. Haven't been able to do that for awhile, either.
My favorite thing is taking care of the sick cats in the isolation building. Most of them just have colds. Got sneezed on a lot - not all have learned about the turning your head away from the human before letting the snot fly. And even the punks calm down a bit when they aren't feeling well and have to be in iso. They are glad to get attention.
Anyways, the point of this is...

For those of you in the Seattle area, this is from the PAWS website:

"Join animal lovers across the Northwest Tuesday October 18 and dine out to support animals in need! Our fabulous partner restaurants are donating a percentage of sales to support PAWS' life-saving programs."

Go to their website to find out which restaurants are participating in "PAWS for a Bite"

Sign this petition to support The Pets Evacuation and Transportation Standards Act (PETS Act, H.R. 3858), currently in Congress, that will protect pets in federal evacuation plans, and urge officials to save currently stranded pets. Make sure people can take their animals with them when there comes a need to evacuate.
