In 1969, a young couple came to San Francisco for their honeymoon. They stayed here at the Sir Francis Drake. 38 years later, their daughter finally got to see the city for herself (and the lobby of the Drake).

Actually, we stayed at the Olympic Hotel on our honeymoon. It was another sweet young single on a tour of the city with a girl friend, some 40 years ago, that stayed at the St. Francis. And, NO, it wasn't new then... it's always been a classic.
