St. Patrick's Day

After our tour of Pac-Bell, we headed down the street to catch the St. Patrick's Day Parade. Then it was Pier 39 and meeting up with an old friend for dinner. Sachiko and I have known each other since first grade. We kind of lost touch after high school but reconnected at our ten year reunion. She suggested we go to Ana Mandara, a French-Vietnamese restaurant.
They had interesting names for their dishes. We kept making fun of some of them, saying in a commanding tone: "Bring me the Hands of the Child!" (ew).
While seated there, I saw this couple walk in. "This place does have a romantic feel to it," I thought, looking at them. At the end of our dinner, it was announced that he had just proposed and she said yes.

Then it was off to Ireland 32 - where these pictures were taken - to drink Guinness in honor of St. Patty's. You can see our sunburned faces and windblown hair from the days activities. Not being of Irish decent, this is only the second time I have ever celebrated this day.

Guess which one of us in the group is the only one of Irish decent...
